She's not very big and mainly white and I'm afraid I may lose her. Should I dress her in a fluorescent jacket just to be on the safe side? Or perhaps attach some red balloons to her tail or a large bell to her collar? I can't keep her indoors any longer, poor little thing's already got her legs crossed! What precautions do you think I should be taking?
She's no Jack - she's Parsons through and through! And I LOVE the snow - just got back from our walk and we both had the best time! Leash?? Not a chance … she was running wild and free and loving the lack of cars on the roads! x
Absolutely!!! But if the snow is really deep with you, it might be as well to keep her on a lead. Dogs love the snow, for some obscure reason, and she'll have lots of fun out there. Be warned about crossing a salted/gritted road with her - salt will sting her feet. She may start holding one paw up and then the next and looking pathetic. You will have to wipe them off - and clean her feet properly when you get home so she doesn't lick too much salt.

if she's on a leash you won't lose her…..
but if you're running her off leash, buy a reflective coller or attach a bright coloured bandana to her neck. though i's just take her for a walk on a leash.

Seein' as the breed has been selectively bred for a couple of hundred years to locate & work formidable quarry in-ground,they're pretty dang tough, aren't they?
Sounds more like the human has the problem.

We use a flashing collar you can get in a sports shop thats used as an arm band by joggers. If you tie balloons to her tail and she's a real parsons (Jack Russel) terrier she'l take your arm off.
