i have honestly done my research on the breed and have also read some statements on the breeds characteristics. Yet i am not feeling confident on owning the breed since everyone makes the dog sound like a non stop running and chewing machine. Of course i would love an energetic dog and a dog who will beg me to go on walks and to the park. Yet, is the breed a non stop moving machine and if it is is it the annoying type? I also do not have a backyard or a park directly next door. I am willing to walk him/her daily and take to the park 3 times a week. Yet is that enough? I would also enjoy to read personal opinions since i want to know how it is to live with one, which to me is the most important information. Thank you in advance.
They are high energy intelligent little beggars - yes
They need a certain sort of person to control them
They are not a breed to be taken on lightly
There are so many in shelters from people who did not realise the commitment they were taking on - so you have to be sure
Having said all that - I own two and they are the best

Yes, the breed is important, but so is the individual. We had a Parsons that basically sat in our house all day and just loved to be pet and to sleep. Also, an older dog might be more calm than a younger one. Is there any particular reason you want a PJRT?

Inside living is best for them anyway as they need the stimulation of their owners attention. They as super smart too so it is not just the energy it is the destructiveness if they are not happy or get lonely. Yes it can be annoying. I have had GSP and they are very high energy. I could never have a any type of JRT. But that is me, if you know how active German shorthaired pointers are you would have a clearer picture. You will need to walk them more than once a day though, I wouldn't get one if you can't do at least two 30 min active walks a day. My brother and his wife have two, they love them.
I use to have one on my mail route who I loved to visit with(inside invisible fence) but he would be so excited and would jump so much he would not realize he had moved under a truck and would jump straight up in the air and bang into underside of truck. I also had a friend got one and unfortunately gave it away because his family was not prepared for the work.
