Is there any difference???

Wow……….ONE correct answer!!! I'm amazed!

NO A MOLECULE of "difference"!!
JRTCA *SUED* to keep their "trademark" breed name when the breed was recognized by AKC…& won.

Parson jack russell has longer legs and is therefore a slightly bigger [taller] dog.

Jack Russell Terrier, also known as the Parson Russell Terrier, is a lively, independent, and clever little dog. He's charming and affectionate, but he's also a handful to train and manage. For experienced dog owners only!

No difference. There was a name change through the AKC recently. Jack Russells are now called Parsons Russell Terrier.

Parson Russell Terrier I think has longer legs. According to the author Gwen Bailey

They are reconsised as two Seperate breeds in australia, but apartently AKC standard is just the Jack Russell been renamed to the Parson Russell Terrier.

So it seems to me, One breed club has changed its name, another reconsistes them as seperate individual breeds.

Parson Russell and Jack Russell are two names for the same kind of dog. It was due to a compromise between the American Kennel Club and the Jack Russell Terrier Club of America.
Contrary to popular belief, apparently, they are both Jack Russells and the short dogs are not deformed. The different heights have been bred to accommodate preferences within the larger group of Jack Russell. A true Jack Russell is recognised as anything between 10-15 inches high. The 'shorties" are not deformed or runts, so long as they are above 10 inches high. According to the AKC, Parson Russells are above 12 inches high. In America, they are the same, but the rest of the world recognises them as two separate breeds.

JRTs are known as Jack Russells, Parson Russells, Russell Terriers, etc. The name comes from the original breeder of said dogs, Rev. John "Jack" Russell, AKA the Sporting Parson, who was a noted breeder of the small white fox terriers that they are derived from. So… that's where the name comes from.

Jack Russell Terriers have their OWN association and most do not appreciate the AKC, because JRTs have been bred to be working dogs, not just "show dogs" as the AKC supports. The idea is that working dogs, such as JRTs, are healthier, have fewer congential defects (such as a daschund's back problems). It all stems from interbreeding and inbreeding within bloodstrains. Consequently, the rules about breeding are more strict, to ensure that the health and working condition of the dog are preserved within the JRTCA. That is why the name Jack Russell Terrier is associate only with the JRTCA and the name Parson Russell is associated with the more commonly known AKC.

The name Parson Jack Russell Terrier, interestingly, was copyrighted by an individual breeder who did not wish to relinquish the name, so that's why nobody registers the breed under that name.
