Mine doesn't shed she's a rough coated type and need to be hand stripped at least twice a year by someone trained at how to do it. She is still just a puppy so she has only barked when very excited (more than the usual jack russell excitement). she has not barked at anything like the doorbell, vaccuum, or visitors, yet. She barks when I'm preparing my cats food, that's the only nonplay bark I've heard from her. She doesn't even bark when neighbors dogs are.
