I am a proud owner of one, soon to be two (YAY!) but Iam curious to know what others think of the breed.
Thanks in advance
I am going to agree that they are VERY misunderstood and alot of people have no idea what they are getting themselves into with them, but its always good to hear peoples feedback on them!!!! haha Humorous..really lol
I am also owned by a jack Russell Terrier. I love the breed but I think that they are seriously misunderstood. I think that people buy them without doing their research and then end up with a ball of energy that they can't control. However that being said, I think for someone who really loves them they are awesome dogs. Congrats on your second one by the way!

Maggie is a rough coat and the most laid back dog I have ever seen.
Great dog and Friend.

Adorable, but lots of energy. They need room to run.

My sister has one ("Cookie"), and my humble opinion is that they are extremely loving, very hyper (a little A.D.D.), and smart-smart-smart. Good jumpers, too!

Jack Russells…a close friend has one, a guy my hubby works with has five. Yes 5!! LOL!
Whenever I think of Jack Russells I think of crazy little dogs bouncing off the walls, but in a good way, lol! They are so energetic and such little clowns. They are certainly a big dog in a little dog's body.
I love going to visit my hubby's co-worker. The first time we visited I walked in and just dropped to the floor and was smothered with kisses. That's one of my favorite places to go…the more the merrier!
I also think of "Eddie" from Frasier and what a cute, adorable and good dog he was. That dog just shows how well trained a JR can be…and how intelligent they are.
If I was able to I'd love to have a JR, but I don't think I could meet their exercise requirements right now. Maybe someday. Who wouldn't love a cute little clown dog?
Yeah, JR's rule!! Just don't tell my mutt, Doberman, Sheltie or Chihuahua that I said that, LOL!

we have 2 in our house, both very different characters. the male is very hyper in and out of the house and likes to wander(not good) and tends to be failry stubborn and dishobedient to certain commands.
The other is a female who is very quiet, doesn't do a lot and lacks personality..
They belong toia family member, i personally like the male but they are not the dog of my choice and are not for everyone to own.

from everything i've seen and heard they are very hyper and need lots of play and exercise. i've also heard that they can get destructive if left for long times. they are very cute though.

My dog's main playmate is a Jack Russell terrier. I love the little guy, but he's a little too hyper and mischievous. I'm a bit relieved whenever our playdates are over. Overall I think Jack Russell terriers are great. Wonderful sense of humor, very intelligent, always ready to play and run circles around everything and everyone. The only thing that really got on my nerves after taking care of the dog while his owners were away for a few weeks was all the shedding. His hair, unlike my dog's (a field spaniel), sticks to everything and no amount of vacuuming can remove it all.

Great little feisty creatures. Lots of interaction will make you pup a loyal companion. They are act first think after dogs, like all terriers really. Good luck they are really great
