   Petfinder.com is an excellent site to find shelters and pets in need. If you don't find the type of specific shelter you want, you'll probably still find a jack russell in another shelter.

   Petfinder.com is a great website, but is often out of date. It seems to take them a while to update adopted dogs and post new ones. Your best bet is to call around to different shelters in your area - just look them up in the phone book and ask if they have any Jack Russell or Jack Russell mixes at the time. Then you can simply drive over and take a look. You'll waste a lot less time that way than you will just taking your chances. It's great that you are looking to rescue - there are so many dogs out there that need good loving homes!!!
