is the Jack Russell Terrier a breed reconized by the CKC or AKC???
I've been trying to search it but it seems that the jack russell is not a reconized breed. I've noticed tons of people selling them online as CKC or AKC registered but how is that possible???
a few yrs ago, the AKC accepted the Parson Russell Terrier as a new breed…..this is esentially the same dog as a Jack Russell Terrier, yet the JRTerrier clubs would not allow their dogs to go to dog shows as a "beauty pageant" and wanted the dogs to be breed only for their dog traits and not beauty or looks… i believe they did not allow JRT's to be considered a breed to be "shown", yet now the Parson Russell Terrier is a recognized breed by the AKC !!!

Hey!! I have a Jack Russell Terrier!! By far the best dog I have owned..If you want a high energy dog I recommend them!! As far as being registered with CKC, I wasnt sure but I did find a website for you. It seems this breed is registered with the CKC. Below is a link to the website…

yup and they are and they are the best dogs ever trust me i have one, but if you are planning on getting one make sure you can handle it they are by far the most hyper dog you can get, some even need tranquilizers, and don't get one if you have a cat or any rodents or rabbits, and make sure you walk them atleast once a day.

one of my rescue dogs is a JRT/wire-haired terrier mix, and he is wonderfull !!!
