Im thinking of getting a golden retriever, but do jack russels like them?
as long as you introduce them the right way **with the jack tired and outside of the home** let them walk together before entering your house they will be fine

My golden and one of the trainer's JRTs get along fine. Pick a dog who is submissive, JRTs (as I'm sure you know) are dominant.

I had a JR for 17 years and he grew up with all my Goldens and there was never animosity between them. As a puppy he used to play with one of my Goldens who was then about 2 years old and they were the best of friends. She was the one who followed him everywhere he went, probably because he was always so active and they had a lot of fun together. Never a dull moment with a JR!
