I'd say a jack russell should be walked for at least an hour a day, those little dogs have a lot of energy as you probably know.

Haha ultimately about 3 hours 3 times a day !

Every dog is different. With a dog as hyper as a jack russel usually is you should probably spend as much time as possible exercising your dog.
