or buy worming tablets it will be about 10/11 weeks old
it also need worming shortly after again would i have to go to the vets or buy worming tablets
Thanks
Regardless of the worming situation you need to take the pup to the vets anyway, all pups need a vet check and you can talk to the vet about worming while you are there. Don't bother with over the counter worming medication as generally its not worth the money and very rarely works.
Has the pup been vaccinated? if not then thats something else that will need doing.
Microchipped? if not then thats also worth doing incase the pup ever escapes or gets stolen, I'm not sure about other countries but JRT's are commonly stolen in the UK and used for rabbiting/ratting etc, so microchipping should be high on your list of things to do for your pup.

If you just got this puppy you should go to the vet anyway. Have the vet do a routine checkup and make sure no shots are needed. It's always a good option.

Go to your vet. It's much better that way, he could administer it for you and recommend you the best.

The worming medication the vet has works in one day. The ones you buy in the store are not as good, or as thourogh. What the vet uses is worth the money spent.

GO TO THE VET! GO TO THE VET!! He's too young for you to do any medical stuff. I was in the exact same situation last week with my 14 week old cockapoo. He had to be given deworming pills and we did it at the vet. Because they are so little, they can get sick easily off of meds. Vets know exactly what dose it should be fed. It shouldnt be that expensive. I only paid 25 bucks at the vet.

Yes you need to go to the vet! You dont even know if the pup has worms orwhat kind of worms he may have. Get the pup seen by your vet, bring in a stoold sample for them to test then the vet will give you the proper wormer if your pup needs it!
OTC wormer don't work and in most cases they can make the pup very ill.
Do it the right way have the pup vet checked! Then go from there ok.
Good luck with your new pup!

You can de-worm him your self, but better get the more expencive tablet as some of the cheaper ones do not kill all worm types.
Be sure to take him to the vet for innoculations before he is 6 months old.

Hey, Well I have a 17 week old Yorkshire Terrier that was at the vet on Saturday, his doctor says that between 0-3.5 mos some dogs have worms, and it is good to deworm them, but not exactly necessary. (FYI All dogs don't have worms) If you go to the vet, they're going to give him a liquid medicine to deworm him, but the tablets work fine as well. With a dog so young you should go to the vet at least once, just to egt an expert opinion on what to do.

It also needs shots, put on heartworm preventative, and a health check, so yes go to a vet.

Well it would probably need shots about the same time so I would have it done at the vets. The "in the store" stuff isn't worth it.
Has it been to the vet since you got it?

yes deff. bring the puppy to the vet to get the deworming… the vets meds are better than any u could find at a store and it is a puppy so it would need to go to the vet anyways to get a check up.
