Training Jack Russells

jack russell after having pups?

iv got a jack russell shes after having 2 pups there now 7 wks old i think she might have some milk left in her as shes not totall dried up what should i do

Take her to the vets and have her spayed. Please make sure all her pups are neutered too. Do you realise how many Jack Russells end up in rescue? please don't add to the crisis of homeless dogs being killed!

it will either dry it upself given time or the vet can give you tablets that will help with this, my cat had stillborn kittens once and I got them to dry up her milk

If you are breeding and have Q's, call your breeding mentor.

IF you don't have one, spay your dog!!!!

BTW it will dry up on it's own, you don't need to do anything!!!

let it dry up its self. dont let the pups back on they should be on solid food now not milk.

    What's the question?!?

She needs to continue to produce milk….

The pups shouldn't be fully weaned yet, they still need their mum for at least another week, then when they are found responcible homes, her milk will dry up & she can be spayed….

There is nothing you should do besides keep the pups away from her so they cant nurse any more. They don't need to at 7 weeks old.

If she is allowing them then you need to seperate them so they are no longer dependant on mom for any milk at all.

    Let her milk dry up

start introducing a hard dry food like, EUKANUBA PUPPY MEDIUM BREED 1-24 months mixed with something like full fat goat milk, or fresh cow milk but gradually stop wetting food after a few days as it will make their poo's soft and runny

after a while start to add some sort of meat like pet mince from a local butcher and/or chicken mince and as they get a bit older some chicken and rice of something like that

at about 7 weeks give the something like a pig ear to help with gums and keep them occupied for a while DON"T give them RAWHIDE (it's like leater) as it is hard to digest and cloggs up their digestive system and trust me YOU do not want to be worring sick about your new pups with twisted guts

Make sure they get all they're shots, then you can start to socialise them as they can be aggressive to other dogs if not socialised early in life

GET YOR DOG SPAYED PLEASE!! There are too many neglects dogs in the world.
