I am getting a Jack Russell puppy in 2 weeks. I have experience with Jack’s but not puppies. Any tricks of the trade or tips you could pass along from your experience would be great. I have done the research and spoken with owners. In some cases I get conflicting tips. I am interested in housebreaking, basic training, altering, socialization and anything else you can add.
Only one real suggestion that is something you know from having a Jack..EXERCISE EXERCISE…Also always start training for potty outside , no pads..easier for the both of you. And I am a freak about neutering and spaying so that’s a given in my book unless you show the dog. Socialize the dog as much as possible other dogs, cats, people, car rides, everything you can think to do at a a young age to help dog as it grows! The more socialization the better the dog!
Good luck with your new fur friend!
