Training Jack Russells

i dont want my jack russell to have puppies?

i dont think i could handle seeing her in pain she is my baby..she comes every were with me. i cant bear thethought of her feeling pain ..why am i feeling this way
dog doctor why are you such a heartless creature why bother replyin if your gonna be pig ignorant

Hi, I work as a Veterinary Receptionist and feel that you may be a little scared regarding her feeling pain if she had an operation to spay her. This would obviously be the best choice and would also prevent her from having a womb infection later in life (pyometra) - which can prove life threatening and involve an major and complicated operation to remove the uterus. I would urge you to get her spayed at the earliest opportunity - this would also stop her coming into season and deter any male dogs from sniffing around your house. Best wishes, Sandie

I breed chihuahas and when my female had her first litter I never even knew she had them and she was in bed with me. She never whimmperd or nothing. And you feel that way because she is like your kid

Spay your dog. It is more than seeing them in pain, it is being a good dog owner. It is not having to see puppies die, because it is COMMON that at least one does. Or having someone who bought a puppy from you call and say it dies, or it has something wrong with it. Spay her and none of this will be a concern.
She will be in some pain after the surgery, but dogs recover quick and then it is over and you do not have to worry about it anymore!!!!

Get her spayed. Its the responsible thing to do if you do not seriously intend to breed from your dog and avoids unwanted pups and unwelcome attention from the local dogs when she comes into heat.. She will recover quickly. I have had 2 GSD 's spayed and both were acting as if nothing was wrong within a day or so.

AN ANIMAL BECOMES LIKE YOUR OWN CHILD, AND IT IS NATURAL TO FEEL THE PAIN AND HER SUFFERING AS YOU WOULD A CHILD'S PAIN, BUT TO STOP HER FROM HAVING PUPS, GO TO YOUR NEAREST VET AND HAVE HER SPAYED.
YOU LOVE YOUR JACK RUSSELL VERY MUCH, AND I THINK YOU ANSWERED YOUR OWN QUESTION, JUST READ YOUR QUESTION AGAIN AND YOU HAVE THE ANSWER

She will be okay, most likely she will have them and you will not know it. If you do not want her bred, get her spaded. She is like a child to you and no mother likes to see their child in pain, this is prob. why you feel that way.

If you dont want her to have pups EVER ! get her spayed, but if you want her to have a litter eventually just keep her away from the male dogs until you are both ready. Also with small dog breeds there can be difficulties in pregnancies so just keep that in mind. You feel this way because you are infatuated with your little girl, and she is like part of you in some way.

Your feeling this way because you are treating your dog as if it was a human child. It is not - it is an adult dog!

I can't understand why you are whimpering on about her having puppies. You have either had her mated and she is expecting and nature will take its course.

Which means, tough, get on with it.

Alternatively she isn't already pregnant so get her spayed!

Are you an adult? If so, grow up and take some responsibility!

Why the angst? Just spay her and don't breed her. It's a lot better to have her be a little uncomfortable from the spaying than to watch her die from cancer or a uterine infection later on.

Take her to the vet & have her spayed.
You will take her in one day & get her back the next morning.
Keep her as quiet as possible & try to stop her jumping around a lot & she will be totally fine in a week or so.
I took my 2 puppies to be spayed just after their first season - around 9 months old.
