Could be a tumor. Our beloved jack had one as well. It was surgically removed and was showed to be non-cancerous. Take him to the vet this week. Good luck. References :
Is this a nodule as (round ball) or sack with nothing in it? If the sack is still present it takes awhile for this to dry up & go away. If it is a knot or maybe a testicle…call the vet back. It could also be scare tissue References :
