Training Jack Russells

Occultists: How do you feel about Jack Parsons?

Why did Babalon fail? Or did it?
Was it L. Ron Hubbard?
If Parsons could evoke a Typhoon, then he should have been able to complete Babalon.

If he could really evoke a Typhoon, I wouldn't want to be around when received his "Three fold" reward/punishment!!!!!

I like Jack Parsons. Unfortunately I think only Jack could really answer these questions as the working had to do with his own psychological make up.

I myself do believe that Jack Parsons relations with LR Hubbard definitely shock up his world in a negative way.

I have a friend who posted an essay about Parsons on his blog that included information on this. This friend, however, overhauls his blog everyday, so I can never go back to whatever he puts there! The link talks about a rite that Parsons did to attract a consort. During the working, he felt that uncanny and untoward things were occurring (as he recorded). However, the woman (elemental) who showed up was Marjorie Cameron. Her features matched what Parsons was conjuring. They were well matched and became magical partners, but their love affair ended tragically when Parsons sort of blew himself up (although some think foul play was involved). Although Crowley apparently had a lot of issues with Parsons, Parsons was devoted to Crowlely and did more for the OTO and the cult of Babalon, which seems to be strong these days, than anyone else. I kind of think Parsons magically surpassed Crowley, Crowley knew it and didn't like it even though the greatest compliment of a teacher is to have an acolyte surpass him. Crowley was appalled that Parsons seemed to be trying to make a "moonchild" ("a little green man"). As for whether Parsons brought in weather changes or little green men, I think these things are merely serendipitious. When folks started thinking about outerspace, then little green men began to replace gnomes, fairies, and what not in consciousness.
