Training Jack Russells

found a jack russel terrier mix, trying to see how old he is?

he's a jack with something else because he has his whole tail (unless they are docked? i dont know?)

anyways, i'm wondering how i can determine how old he is…
i dont really know how big they get or anything. i'm familiar with larger dogs as i have german shepherds. i'm also wondering where a good place to put an add would be.

Jacks do have docked tails, so it's possible he just was left with his "factory equipment". Is it a puppy, or an adult? You can get a very vague ball park by checking teeth….if it still has it's puppy canines, it's probably younger than 4 months. If it shows a lot of wear, canines worn, possibly tarter build up, it's probably more of an aged dog….but that's not a 100% sure fire thing….some dogs are harder on their mouths than others.

go to the vet or local humane society but if u want a estimation look at it's teeth. The sharpest one determines all.I have a terrier mix and he has white, strong teeth and he's about 2years old.If the dog is old like 6~more than 6 their teeth can be yellow or not grown in the right places and things like that.Better and smaller teeth equals younger dog.Hope it helps =)

Jack Russel's tails are usually docked for aesthetic purposes so he could still bee a full Jack Russel. The only way to determine is age would be to take him to a vet who could tell by looking at his teeth. You should take him to a vet anyway just in case he has contacted any diseases and could pass them on to your German Shepard's. They don't get big at all they stay quite small.

Go to a vet. They can figure out their age by their teeth
