Well what gender dog do u think is right for me?
I want a playful hyper dog
A dog that can make me feel happy when im sad
A dog that is affectionate
A dog that loves to play ball
Either male or female would fit that bill. Dogs are like people, all have different personalities. I tend to like the males more. My boys are more tuned into me, and the girls are more focused on what they want to do. You need to consider your situation. Jack Russells tend to be same sex aggressive. If you already have a boy, get a girl, and visa versa. Also if you have any other species of pets, seriously don't get a Jack. They are working terriers and do not accept any other types of small animals well at all. Consider an older pup (4mon.-1.5 years).

Almost ALL jack Russell's are hyper and playful (gender doesn't matter). Any dog can make you feel happy when your sad. Any dog could be affectionate. Jack Russell's have a high prey drive so they may chase the ball with no guarantee of bringing it back. So it's really your choice in getting a male or female. I prefer males.

You should probably get a female. Make sure you get her spayed first, and she will be your best friend for life. I know a family with a jack russell terrier that is a male and it isn’t as lovable as a female.

I suggest a male but get it spayed because it’ll still be the same hyper friendly dog but it just wont pee everywhere!

Male dogs are more likely to wonder in search of a mate, but other than that it really makes no difference.

I’ve had both.
Females are less territorial so less aggressive towards other dogs but they have their heat .
Males are fine dogs too.
A Jack should not be a first dog
