i have a 2 year old jack russell girl, and in my local pet shop there is a 9 week old husky cross jack russell girl puppy, i want her as she is gorgeous!
would the two get on together, the pet shop owner has given up tips on how to introduce them, but the last time i bought a girl puppy (cocker spaniel) she really didn't like her and tried to attack her! i'm wondering if they will get on as down the road a friend of mine owns a jack russell and my dog just loves her, so the fact the husky is crossed with a jack might there be a chance?
answer as soon as you can please! x
thank you everyone who answers x
sensible answers only thank you, as i wouldn't want the puppy getting hurt x
They may or may not get along, these things are hard to predict and usually go on a dog by dog individual basis.
I urge you not to purchase a puppy from a pet shop though. All pet shop puppies come from puppy mills, which cruelly treat their animals, and by buying pet shop puppies, people are only supporting the puppy mills and encouraging them to continue abusing animals.

Like a house on fire, I would have said.(I hope you have considered adoption and checked out the history of this puppy)

They probably will get along in time. If not she will teach the pup to leave her along. We always had dogs and than got pups and they learned to get along.

I would not do it, you will stress your older dog out and she came first.

I have a male JRT and he is very finicky about what dogs he will get along with. Some Jacks get along better with dogs of the opposite sex. I would take her to the pet store and introduce the dogs there, leaving the new dog in the cage. If this doesn't work out, then you are a one dog family.

petshop = puppymill dog!! http://www.puppymillrescue.com/petstorehorror1.htm
Husky x jack russell?????? are you insane - however cute this pup is, she sounds like a nightmare in energy, prey drive, and vets bills….
..also 2 bitches will often fight and never be friends one of each sex is a better bet
I'd say avoid it like the plague!
EDIT as she's in a shop I guess you haven't seen the mum? you have no idea what she will be like when older, size etc or her temperament.
