Training Jack Russells

when will my jack russle cross calm down?

don't be surprised by jack Russel and this Question im asking because it sounds silly because jack Russel's are existed and hyper dogs!! but She is crossed with a yorkie her mum was a Yorkshire terrier and her dad was a jack Russel he is medium-sized noting to big at all,she was the runt of the litter(smallest out of them all) SO WHEN WILL SHE CALM DOWN ?? she is 6 months

Oh boy.
6 months is still considered VERY much a BABY.
She still has another 2-3 years before you'll notice a big decrease in hyperactivity.
It could also never calm down. Jack Russells are known to still be VERY hyperactive at 10 and 11 years old.

Well she's still a puppy so that is certainly part of it. If she's hyper, she's telling you that she needs more exercise and activity.

This is a fun question, at least for me. first, you have a cross with two terriers, both of which are known to be tenacious. Terriers have always been very active, and somewhat hyper. They are also dogs that think they are much bigger than they actually are. A few years ago I visited with a friend that raised Jack Russels. The daddy terrier was playing with one of the females. The female was biting his legs, just playing, and carrying on like crazy. I mentioned it to the friend and he reached down and picked up the female a little off the ground. She never let up playing with the male. It was just too funny. So don't look for you dog to lay down and be calm any time too soon. It's just in the breed. Good luck
