what size gentle leader do you think would be best for a seven to eight month year old border collie?? and whats the difference between a gentle leader and a halti?
The size varies by weight. See the source below.
My wife had a problem with our dog practically pulling her arm out of joint. Once I got a Gentle Leader that fixed he problem.
He didn’t like it at first, but now he’s a perfect gentleman.

Gentle leader is like the thing you put around a horses head it goes all over the head giving you control over the dog's head so you can change his focus and it's only to be used with instructinos from a certified dogtrainer and you may never pull it hard because then you'll break your dog's neck
a halti harnass is the thing that goes around his chest reducing the dange for his nek which you could have with a collar and reducing it's pulling power
for the size take your dog to the pet shop and ask the shopping assistant I geuss you'd need small or medium but I'm not sure.

The principles behind the two are very similar, the main difference is that a gentle leader has a small plastic clip that you slide up under the dogs chin to keep it fitting better a halti doesnt.
What size you should get is a medium gentle leader or a size 2 halti , they cost about the same around £8/ £9 but check with the shop to see if you can exchange it if it is to big, or better still take the dog with you
