so ive decided to get a jack russell terrier or a parson russell terrier but i cannot find any breeders next to me i live in Canada, B.C. should i go to my local pet store and ask them, do they import them in?
well i looked at shelters and there is none their, i am having a really hard time finding one can someone help me get one

There are THOUSANDS of reputable breeders!
You get off your donkey & contact the PARENT CLUB(found through the CKC!) & ASK them!!!

You can find hundreds dumped in breed rescue,if you don't mind ruined junk.

we got a new cat,we already have one but he tries attack her, she is in our basement now away from the dog. What should we do?

Oh Yes! This sure can be a problem. I have a Jack Russell, I got him as a puppy of about 9 weeks old, he is now 10 years old. Because I had cats when I got him, he tolerates them. I have 10 cats and he is OK with them. He does not play with them, but he has never hurt one. Please watch them very close, maybe you will be able to teach him not to hurt your cats, but don't leave them alone until you are sure it is OK. Good Luck, I hope it works out. Jack Russells sure are adorable and so smart. Too smart for our own good, don't you think.

And nipping our cat, has also had a pop at my GSD( who is a softie) will a anti bark collar help if only used when she gets snappy
I think she has whippet in her,and her temprement is with us is very affectionate vey active and playful.
Had her from a 10wk old puppy been walked and played with other dogs since also been spayed.
Martyrtothecause she is trained sits, comes ,walks to heel, leaves when told, just when she sees another dog she's off
barking and snapping at other dogs face and neck

Its a terrier. Train it!!

Added: If she is snapping at other dogs she is NOT TRAINED to not do this. It is inappropriate behavior just as going potty in the house is inappropriate behavior.

TRAIN THE DOG NOT TO DO THIS!!!

be allright when me and my wife go on holliday for 2 weeks only my dog sitter let me down and i have had to put jack in kenells they are good kenells but he hasunt been in kenells before he is 2and ahalf iam realey woried he is so spoilt and i love him so much from carl

the only thing i would be worried about is kennel cough.
ask the people of the kennels if….
they will be able to eat their own food
bring and play with thier own toys
how often you will get them out
etc.

i think it will be allright but just look at the place and see if they look ok?

Theres one in Vic but the others are in NSW and ACT.

So easy to freight a pup these days.

Because originally the person who developed the Terrier breed was Reverend John Russell. In Britain. commonly in Britain Reverends were known as Parsons. Anyway some how they didnt name the dog John Russell Terriers. There was a mistake made I think and they became know as Jack Russells. SO to correct the mistake, and honor the creator of the fiesty dogs, They named them the Parson Russell Terriers now.
ADDITIONAL INFO: Here in the states they are not considered seperate, Jacks and Parsons are considered the same dog,at this time, though breeders are trying to seperate them, This sight is the fight to seperate the breed to 2 distinct
