Where can I find a not so pricey Labradoodle/ Goldendoodle breeder in New England?

I have been looking around on the web for months now looking for a Goldendoodle/ Labradoodle breeder. The problem is that each time when I find the pricing of the pup, it's usually over priced. The average price I have seen is like $2500 and during this economy that is way too expensive. All what I am looking for is a breeder that can sell their Golden- Labra doodle for under a thousand dollars atleast. My price range can go up to soo much like $800 at the most. Also each time when I find a place that sells that breed of dog for that much it has been a puppy mill. Otherwise, I am in just some desprete need to find a well rounded breeder for much less of the cost I've been finding. I am very open to an average person that has Golden/ Labradoodle puppies for sale. I just need as much help as possible.

We just bought a male goldendoodle from a breeder in WA state. This breeder will ship a puppy & has done so often. The website is
starviewkennels.com. This is a very reputable breeder who charges $900 for an F1 goldendoodle, parents on site. Hope this helps :)

Is this the new trend in dog breeding or what?

I saw this ad this morning: 'Puppies for sale: Labradoodle mixed with Chow Chow - great dogs with excellent guarding and hunting abilities - $500'. Yep, that's right $500!

My lab had yet another good chuckle today!

Thanks to puppy millers, most people are now under the mistaken impression that a dog inherits ALL of the qualities of it's parents. I.E., you mix a labrador with a poodle, you have a non-shedding hunting dog, if you mix that with a chow, you get a non-shedding guarding hunting dog. People are stupid, and the "designer" trend is going to be the single most devastating blow for animal shelters and homeless pets - not only are animals not getting adopted because it's suddenly much cooler to *buy* a mutt, but in a year or two when people realize what they ACTUALLY bought was a large, drooling, untrainable, shedding mongrel, all of those pups are going to wind up in shelters right next to the dogs they condemned.

Their stupidity is certainly laughable, but the numbers of dogs that are going to die from this horrible trend is certainly not…
