Training Jack Russells

How tp potty train a 5 month old Jack Russell?

I have just rescued a 5 month old Jack Russell and she is in need of potty traing. Has anyone got any good tips?

You will need to take your dog outside every 3 to 4 hours. You will need to work with your dog like that for a few weeks or more. That's the only way.

I was talking to a lady who does rescue and she thinks my dog might be a Jack Russell/beagle mix?

I was helping someone pick up there dog and they showed a picture of my rescue dog and she asked what is she a beagle mix and I said we have are suspicions…all we know for sure is Jack Russell/Chihuahua mix and she said well her body is solid like a beagle.

Here is her theory.

She got her short legs from the Jack Russell
Her Solid Body from Beagle
Her ears and tail are Chihuahua
And she said she couldn’t place her face but all together she looks like a small yellow lab.

What brought it up is I was looking at the Rat Terrier Beagle mix with a similar build. And the person I was there with brought up that

So how right on do you think she was…..Just For Fun

I thought her reasoning was interesting

she also mentioned something about the shape of her brown eyes resembled beagle but I don't know
I know she is a mix and there is no way to really know for sure and i don't trust those
Dna tests not yet
I don't see corgi….I thought that for ten seconds once but dismissed it
She is much to large to just be Jack/chi She is 22 pounds at 10 months (Which is considered a healthy weight for her)

I have two beagle mixes and I do see the beagle in yours. And it makes sense with a slightly heavier weight.

the nicklaus is on sale. very very good price. year end clear out sale. taylor made higher ball flight. is it worth the extra 50 dollars. high handicap no. low handicap taylor made.

I have a Jack Russell and I'd like to rescue an Italian Greyhound… Any have experience with these breeds?

My Jack Russell Jag is 2 years old. I would love to rescue an italian greyhound in the next few months. I've done all of my research and I thought I would ask you guys to see if any of you had experiences or have heard of good stories of these two breeds living together.

Thanks!
my jack russell is very well trained and has never ever destroyed anything in my house nor would ever bite ANYONE.

please don't judge because of the stories you've heard. every jack russell is different.
thanks for everyone's opinions. my dog is very well behaved and i'm very lucky he's not a typical jack russell. he's very friendly and very independent.

I have a Jack too and she's 3 now. I rescued her from a bad situation. She's come a long way. This was a dog that never knew what it was like to go outside. Believe it or not, now I'm dog sitting a cocker spaniel for 10 days and they're getting along just fine. She's usually great with small, medium, and gentle larger dogs. It's the big dogs that are too rough and bully small dogs that she doesn't get along with.

You sound like you've done an excellent job keeping your jack trained, exercised, and entertained. I recommend getting a female so there's less chances of minor fights. If your jrt is anything like mine, where he's even a little dominant with dogs in his home then I recommend picking out a submissive new dog and introduce them in a slow, neutral, controlled environment. It's best to have them meet outside of your home first. Good luck!

Jack's are great dogs. It's the people that create them into monsters because they have no clue on how to be leaders of the pack. Keep up the good work!

Do some Jack Russell Terriers have a long body?

We have just bought a Jack Rusell from a rescue centre. She is beautiful! She does seem a little long in the body compared to photos I've seen of Jack russells though -is this normal? I'm not breeding her or anything like that, but just curious. She's all white with a tan head.

They are not suppose to be long like a Doxie's would be. Every dog is different. I have purebred Pomeranian, but her body is a little longer than it's suppose to be.

As long as you weren't planning to show her and it's not causing her any problems, I wouldn't worry about it. She may grow into her body with time.

What artist's career should Jack Blades rescue from the scrap heap next?

Let's face it, he's already rescued the lkes of Tommy Shaw and Ted Nugent from obscurity. He was single handedly responsible for Ringo Starr's most successful solo tour because he played bass on that tour. He gave Kelly Keagy reason to breathe. He even provided fuel to Ozzy Osbourne by writing over 75% of the Down to Earth album. What washed up, has-been, rock star is he going to save next?
It's my firm belief that Jack could save them all. Gerard Way has NOTHING on Jack Blades when it comes to saving lives.

Jon Bon Jovi was on the road to Damascus, sorry, Nashville (is there a difference?) when St. Jack The Blade (for It Was He) appeared in a shining halo of light.

"Jon Bon", intoned the Holy One sternly. "What meanest thou, for straying so far from thine 80s roots, into the realm of Country?"

And so saying, Saint Jack did douse the errant Bon Jovi with hairspray, and the Good Lord did aim a lighting bolt at the same; and lo, there was a dreadful conflagration, and a heap of ashes, and the scent of charred hairspray was carried aloft on the wind, as a warning to those who claimed falsely that they were "Living On A Prayer", and yet did not.

Thus it is written.

Amen.

Ihave just rescued a Jack russell bitch. She has just come into season.I allready have another rescue dog .?

I have had the other rescue dog for three years. The cross breed dog's behaviour has changed completely,IE;he is not eating properly, constant crying,in effect he is totally obssesed with her.I KNOW IT SEEMS OBVIOUS,what his problem is but is this normal.will he go back to the way he was when the bitch's season has ended?

I'm assuming that your rescued male has been neutered. Even though the boy is firing blanks, the desire is still there. He'll go back to normal after she is done. Get your bytch spayed. Be extremely careful though with her around unneutered dogs in the area. Even though your male can't, other males can breed her.

What happened to Jack at the end of Lord of the Flies?

I just finished reading the book, but the ending confuses me. Does Jack get rescued with everyone else or does he stay behind? Or does he die in the fire? It just says that when he saw the naval officer, he stopped in his tracks…Is he rescued?

That's the cliffhanger. No one knows IF they even got rescued. They said nothing about getting off the island. It just kinda ends without any closure…
