im just curious
Yup.
Just because one dog is from Ireland or has Irish lines does not mean the dogs aren't purebred.
Here in America people cross Import GSD lines with Domestic GSD lines all the time, the dogs are crosslined, but they're still purebred GSDs/

how old.
It isn't so much a matter of age as one of weight. 4- 5 1/2 pounds is what most vets/breeders of this dog recommend.

I have a new litter under 3 days old and i have done a lot of Research into weaning i just would like for somebody to confirm i am right before i start.
Start Weaning at 3 weeks old with a good quality puppy food soaked in boiled water, feed pups separate to ensure they all get the right amount for there weight, feed pups 4 to 5 times a day. Start worming at 3 weeks and every 2 weeks after that.
Slowly week by week reduce the amount of fluid in mix but ensure plenty of fresh water is always available.
As you can tell 1st time at this but hope i done enough Research not to be judged and any other helpful advice would be gratefully received
Ta Caz
Well you have a pretty good plan but I never started to supplement their nursing until 4 weeks old and I always allowed mom to still nurse the pups.
What do you mean by separate the pups?? They should all be fed together but with out mom there. If you have more than 4 pups then make 2 shallow bowls of the puppy mush. I used water bottles so the pups can have fresh water when ever they wanted it. It's alot neater too and there is no way a pup can accidentally drown in the water dish too. It has happened!
Worming schedule is ok.
You have the reduced water in the food ok but just make sure you increase the food amounts for their growing needs ok.
Sounds like you did a good job!

Have tried correcting him, but to no avail. he just won't stop!
The more you try to correct him, the more he does it.
He is a very defiant dog, never had one like this before, and yes he does know that I am boss!
You have just used an oxymoron. How can he CLEARLY know that you are the boss and not let you do whatever you want to him? The problem, as you stated, is that your corrections are ineffectual and all they do is encourage him and fuel his desire to continue his ways. Do you know why? Because they are not hard enough. If a dog is corrected, once, at the proper level, whatever that level may be, he will stop because that correction will not feel good and he will not want a repeat performance. But, most people today are incapable of giving a proper correction because they are afraid of hurting the dog's supposed feelings. Put a prong on him and the next time he bites for any reason, correct him, hard enough to hear him. If he stops, great, your correction worked, praise him for a second and go on. If not, correct harder til he stops. The lesson here is called cause and effect. YOU screw up and YOU have to face the consequences of your actions. Try it, it works.

I understand they are extremely high energy but she can't even be petted without her thinking your hand is a toy.
Our 3 yr. old jack was not this hard to train when he was a pup & I do understand they are teething at this age but offering an alternative which worked for our other jack russel is not sinking in nor have stern comands outside of sit or stay worked at this point & I'd like to avoid muzzling if at all possible.
try using something like a muzle

Why is this? I've stuffed it with treats but she still wont go near it, she just barks and growls at it.
Does she bark/growl, and "bow" with her butt in the air? Is her tail up and wagging? Does she run of and come back? If so, chances are she is "playing with it. If not, hold it in your hand and let her come to you and sniff it. Don't move it around or tease her, just sit with it in your hand. As she gets used to it in your hand, set it down beside you. The whole time ignoring her and the Kong. Don't make a fuss when she barks/growls. Ignore it. When she gets used to it being beside you, move it away a bit….keep going through this process until you are completely away from it. By this point, she should be ok with it and start to chew it.

He's whining because he's lonely. Ignore him. I know it's hard to do, but he's only going to stop crying if he learns it doesn't work. If you're going to check on him everytime he starts whining, he will learn that it gets him attention and he will continue to do it.
Also, like someone else suggested, if you haven't already, get him a crate to sleep in to make a nice comfy bed area for him.
Our dog did this when we first got him, but after ignoring him for just 2 nights, he stopped.

My family is going to get a puppy, and i really want a Jack Russell Terrier puppy, and i just found areally good one, but i am asking what is there puppy behavior? Are they hyper or are they calm? Do they chew? Just general stuff.
if you want send me links.
okay… i have a jack russell…he's 7 now… he's hyper and crazy, he don't really chew but they are dominant, territoral, and stubborn, if not properly trained when young

he's an absolute nut. never had a dog with this much energy and destructive traits.
Did you read up on the breed BEFORE you got him or was this an impulse type of purchase?
Obedience and more obedience and more training alone with a crate will go a long way towards getting you what you want!!!!
