Would you people please stop saying there are no such things as Mini Jack dogs?

Ok. I want to set the record straight. People, including me, are practically getting attacked for mentioning this breed. I am aware that there is only one size Jack Russell. The "mini" in Mini-Jack stands for Miniature Pinscher which is crossed with a Jack Russell Terrior, thus the name "Mini Jack", also called "Minnie Jack." They are recognized by American Canine Hybrid Club as a Minnie Jack and by the

Geez, guys, I see I hit a nerve with some of you AKC snobs. Just because a dog isn't a pure breed doesn't make it less than quality in my eyes. I didn't get scammed by anybody and I take offense to the insinuation that I'm not a responsible dog owner just because I don't do dog shows and belong to these bogus clubs. I happen to just love my dog for who she is–a member of our family and don't care if you label her as a "mutt". She thinks she's special because we tell her so, not because she has credentials. My purpose of this was to set the record straight to the people that think we are saying our Mini Jack is a "miniature".
Thanks to those of you who wrote to kindly educate me and not to insult.
FYI: I didn't get my dog from a breeder. I got her from a loving home where their dogs were very loved. I don't believe in puppy mills either. I believe all dogs deserve a good life whether they are a "pure breed" or a so-called mutt. I think we can all agree on that.

i say forget what other people are saying because everyone has an opinion and who is to say one is right or wrong, every one can argue its a mutt, everyone else can argue about how the kennel clubs with so called PURE bred dogs are killing them by inbreeding and that studies show that over the years that the so called pure dogs have actually started declining in health and body features because of such things, someone can argue that without clubs breeds would be destroyed by mixing someone can argue that naturalization through best to best breeding is the true way to go, we can all argue a lot but opinions are just what someone has made up in their mind to be the right way not necessarily the truth…let it go in one ear and out the other

people on here told me there was no irish staffordshier bull terrier but they dont know that thats an English bullterrier with a staffordshire BT and they are in stafordshire England and Ireland

How can I stop the grass burning when my two lady dogs wee on it?

I have two lady dogs, jack-russell /Shi-zu cross, and when they wee on my lawn it causes the grass to burn. I’ve tried giving them supplements with their dinner but that doesn’t seem to have worked. I looked on the internet and one website suggested it was because the wee is acid and so burns the grass.

Is there a way to stop this from happening?

What causes it is the nitrogen (plants like it but in small doses) in their urine. You really can’t feed them anything to change it.

anything because i read articles on wiki and from the breeders but i want to have opinions on how they are by people who had them so help me please.

Get ready for the fun of your life, these little dogs never stop going,,.,,,make sure that (you) take your vitamins every day to keep up with him or her…….give him lots of running room, chew (rawhide medium size one) training uh yes show him you are the boss or you will have a hard time getting him trained……personality, they have terrific ones……..

I am thinking about getting a Jack Russell dog. I hear they are very intelligent. Can anyone tell me about them?

They are very smart and very, very energetic so be prepared to keep them busy or they will tear your house apart.

Merrick feeders: I just bought a bag for my Papillon, Cairn, and Jack Russell–how do your dogs do on it?

Mine absolutely love it! Wish I bought it years ago.

Well, at least I know what it is. I bought a bag of the Merrick Puppy Plate for the new pup I will be bring home next weekend. I checked all the labels of puppy food at the feed store and decided on this one. So, I guess I can't answer this for a couple more weeks, but I sure will be looking forward to more responses. ( At least from people who actually know what it is) lol

What are ways i can help my dog jack?

my dog jack has been in my family for a long time. i love him like anything else but since he is a german shepherd he is very teritorrial. This lady came over to my house waving a stick at my brother so he bit her on the butt. Now we have to tie him up or he has to be inside. He now has arthritis and he can barely walk and he slides across the floor in pain. Does anyone have any suggestions or pets that are similar?

WHATEVER YOU DO DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG PENICILLIN!

There are many dogs to give for arthritis, also get a muzzle, the woman was indeed in the wrong, but you as the owner have to take responsibility for other peoples complete stupidity with animals.

Also if your dog can barely walk, maybe it might be time to consider ending the pain, because I know I would hate to be in pain every day.

That of course is a very emotional decision and I know vets that have not put down their own dog when they would have advised customers to do so. It will be hard but think of how much pain your dog is in, and think it really is an act of love to stop all the pain.
