Training Jack Russells

i have a jack russel maltese cross weve had her for about 9 months and she still wont pee outside?

we've tried like everything and she still doesn't get it

help

Define "everything".

Have you considered TRAINING her?

Bring the dog out every hour on the hour. At night, leave the dog in a crate (make the crate a REWARDING place to be- work on crate training before you lock the pup in a crate all night if you have no yet crate trained the dog). Eventually, when the dog has been going outside for a few weeks, raise the time between bringing the dog out to two hours.

I have a Boxer cross Jack Russell, She is 3, size of a f/boxer, (is adopted). What would her life span range?

We adopted her at 7 months old. We do not know anything about her parents. She is extremley active, with a very high energy level. She weighs 50Lbs. Her coat is Tan, with white on her chest and feet. She has a Jack face and a boxer type body with a cropped tail.

It is really hard to say for sure. I would guess 12-15 years barring any health concerns or any accident. That is of course as long as she gets regular vet care and accinations. The igh energy is common in both breeds, our boxer is very energetic to say the least. And she will be 2 in May. Congrats on adopting a dog in need. They usually end up making the best companions.

I have a 6 month old cross Jack Russel who seems afraid of crowds and starts barking all the time?

He seems to be on his guard and starts barking all the time,I have tried pebbles in a plastic bottle but this dosent seem to stop him,Now that I have retired I like to travel to different places and dont want to leave him at home or in kennels

There is a book called Jack Russel Terriers For Dummies
Its really great. He may just need a little more exposure. Mine is 6mo and thinks he is a big tough man. It's kinda cute. But he has a playmate too.

Can a pup jack russell cross be trained to live happily with guinea pigs?

I am aware that jack russells have an instinct of hunting rodents/foxes/badgers but wondered if i could train a young pup (8 wks) to be with the two guinea pigs i own? if introduced as soon as he comes home? and he is half german spitz.

or is it just a big no no?

It’s really going to depend on the individual pup. You do have a good chance if you are able to be a strong figure of discipline (JRT’s specifically can be very hard-headed). If you can show the puppy that the g-pigs are “above” him, and not to be messed with, it can work.

JRT’s are not supposed to be good with cats either, but mine loves cats and kittens, and has never tried to hurt any. I got her at around 9 weeks, and she was introduced to my cats the same day.
