And what is a good thing to give to her as treatment for her dry skin. Her skin is not scaling or flaky it just feels very dry and so is her coat,
Massage can be very beneficial for this as it will stimulate the body to produce more oil to her coat.
Also cod liver oil as the previous answer stated

not like I want to..
but the dogs are bored. Is 10 minutes too cruel? One is a border collie/retriever the other is a wire coat jack russell mix, she'd be wearing a warm jacket.
Only 10 minutes? Absolutely not cruel, they'll enjoy the exercise and time outside.
The border collie/retriever mix will have no problem in very cold temps. Goldens actually prefer cold weather; their thick winter coats are such good protection, you often see them panting in the middle of winter while playing outside. My parent's golden lays down in huge snow piles when she gets too hot and just rests there, panting, in sub zero temps, lol.
The JRT mix should be fine too. A warm jacket is not a bad idea for him/her in such cold temps.
What you want to concentrate on is staying out of the wind as much as possible so your dogs' noses and other vulnerable places around their head and face isn't exposed too much to really low windchill temps. Windchill can bring on frostbite pretty fast, especially below -5 F.
I'd say you and all humans are more vulnerable to frostbite than your dogs are, but keep walks during really cold days like this pretty short…your dogs are not going to be able to really "show" you any signs that they're feeling the onset of frostbite. You can always take them back out for more walks, just keep them short, like you've suggested, 10-15 minutes, during these really cold days.
I actually just took my lab mix and APBT out to some land I own and I just let the car run for when they got too cold. It's -9 F with a windchill of -26 F right now where I live and my lab mix just ran around for like a half hour and played fetch with me before I made him come in the car and warm up. My pit bull, however, lasted only like 10 minutes before he ran to the car to get let in. Lol. They're both fine and have made it through even colder temps with no problems.
Keep in mind, my lab mix is a pretty rugged dog and can handle very, very cold weather. Not all dogs were bred to handle these temps for that long. Even most wild dogs would be bedded down with other dogs in their pack to keep warm during extremely cold times like this. But nonetheless, I'm sure your dogs will be fine going for a 10 minute walk with you.

I want to get a smooth coated Jack Russell Terrier for an outside dog in Maryland. It’s suburban area. I was wondering if I could do this. Also my mom is kind of allergic and I was wanting to know if it has a lot of allergy problems or if they are close to hypoallergenic. Also I have heard they are very energetic. I would like a dog that is a dog that I can run with but not that bites 6 year olds.
Are they good with strangers? Are they good in same gender pairs and/or different gender pairs. Do they need obedience classes? Will they wreck my house if they were to live inside? Which are usually the best, male or female. Please answer as many of these questions that you can and please put in any more information that you know that could help me.
Jack Russell Terriers aren’t hypoallergenic. The majority of Jrts will not tolerate a child pulling on their tails, ears, etc. The question is not “Is the dog good with children?” The question is “Is the child good with dogs?”
They can be very territorial.. but very friendly. The stranger acceptance will depend more on the individual Jrt. They are not usually good with same gender pairs. If you get more than 2, I’d suggest a male and female. Of course, you shouldn’t breed them unless they fit the standard, and etc. etc. etc. So, the best thing to do is get the male neutered if he isn’t quality or you don’t plan on breeding.
Some females get along with each other.. some males get along with each other. Especially if one of the two are neutered or spayed.
The obedience class question is entirely up to your level of training ability. If you aren’t very good at training dogs, or don’t have the time.. yes, maybe you should take the dog to a class.
They could possibly wreck your house. If a Jrt is bored, it will find something to do.. I have one that wrecks our house if left alone too long.. thusfore, she now stays in a crate while we’re out.
There really isn’t a best gender. However, if you plan on getting involved with the JRTCA and showing and breeding.. If your thinking about breeding, its easiest to start out with a bitch. You can easily find a nice stud dog for your bitch, but its harder to find someone that wants to use your stud dog. But, please don’t breed unless your involved with a club (JRTCA) know the standard and breed very well, your dog is health tested, registered, quality conformated, and preferably proven.

She has the eyes, shape, and short coat of a weimaraner, but instead of being solid grey she is white with a brown ear and I don't know what she's mixed with/ hoping to find out. Maybe mixed with pit bull or jack russel. Hoping that anyone has pictures of these cross breeds so that I may find out what she is.
a picture of any dog ot breed can be found at AKC.org

my neighbor had just sealed his driveway and my dog ran thru it. She is a jack russell terrier
You can go to almost any store and pick up "Goo-gone" or another product like it. Its great for removing labels, gum, and all matter of sticky stuff. Best of all, it is all natural (made from orange oil). I used it in my husbands hair after he had electrodes stuck on his scalp, and used it too many times to count on the terrier to remove pine tar from her fur. Good luck

There are three types of Jack Russell's there is the Long leg Jack, There is the Short leg Jack and there is a Shorttie Jack smooth coats, rough coat and broken coat. English Jack, Parson Jack and the Shorttie Jack.
The Shorttie Jack which also goes by the name mini Jack they come from Scottland as to where the other two types come from England the English type is a bit bigger then the Parson and the Shorttie Jack is only 12 pounds in females and 14 pounds in males as for the other two types they go from 17 pounds to 20 pounds.
The Shorrtie Jack is not reg with CKC or ACK ,but there is Shorrtie Jack whiconly weighs at 12 pounds when full grown.
The most that people hear is about the Parson and the English Jack you don't hear much about the Shorttie Jack so they maybe the problem that no one really know there is a Mini or Shorttie Jack.
I like the parson, but i'm partial because we have one!

Jack russell dog
2 years old
walks well usually
timid nature generally
Try driving him somewhere fun and new. Bring his favorite ball and a bunch of tasty treats. Lots of praise and encouragement. Interact with him and tell him that the rain ain't gonna hurt him…keep him entertained and I doubt he will be too fussed about the rain.
