I just purchased this product for my pet. I see a change in her behavior already. She no longer bites or scratches her skin. She was diagnosed with sarcoptic mange but the dips didn't work. This product was recommended, but I haven't read any testimonials about how well this product works. Any comments would help. Thanks to everyone in advance.
Well, it's helping your pet, and that's all that really matters:) I've actually never heard of it before.

I bought my puppy without papers or anything and the pet store (shame shame I know I should have gone through a breeder but she's an awesome dog nontheless) sold her to me as a Jack Russell but she looks just like a Parson Russell too…..are there any distinguishing features between the two?
As far as the AKC goes, the breed has always been the Parson Russell Terrier. Fans of the parson russell terrier started the Parson Jack Russell Terrier club in 1914. The name Jack Russell was later thrown around and used to describe any mixed terrier, some of which bore little resemblence to the Parson Jack Russell Terrier.
Even though they are most commonly known as Jack Russell Terriers today, few people realize that their true name is Parson Russell Terrier, and the only name used by AKC. They are also call Parson Jack Russell Terriers
Is is arguable, though. Some clame they are different breeds, the only real difference being height. Parson's are 12-14", jack russells being 10-12", while others claim they are the same breed
It's the same battle as that between the American Pit Bull Terrier and the American Staffordshire Terrier

All dogs are around 63 days. Give or take a few days, less for smaller dogs, and longer for larger breed dogs.

I had a Chihuahua and loved her to no end. I then had a Jack Russell but due to circumstances had to let him go. I have the opportunity to get a Min Pin with training. I only want to commit to it long term so really looking into it first. Would the Min pin be similar to the Chihuahua or more spunky like the Jack? Any info would be apreciated. Thanks
I had a Min Pin. He was given to me because the owner could not take care of him any longer. His name was Slylar and he thought he was a big dog. He was playful but not like a Jack Russell. He was very easy going. If I could I would get another one in a heart beat. He got along with other dogs. He was protective but not to the point where he could not be around other people and animals. He was very smart too. I would def. get him/her you wont be disappointed in the breed.
Skylar had a brother named Randy(Boston Terrier) they would play together but Skylar was the boss when he had enough we went to bed and Randy knew that play time was over. It use to be Randy's bed but Skylar took it over and Randy was ok with that. I also had cats with Skylar. He was fine with cats also. They left each other alone basically.

Just curious if there is a difference in attitude in either a male or female Jack Russell Terrier? Also are they good dogs?
I have a female and she is great…always happy and running around. They are good dogs if taken care of properly and given tons of exercise and playtime as well as socialization. They do want a LOT Of ATTENTION…mine follows me around everywhere….I can't even move around in the room without her having to move with me. All she ever wants to do is play…especially with tennis balls. Mine will retrieve the ball all day long and bark if i dont throw it for her right away.
As cute as they are, they will wear you out and drive people nuts….no matter how much you love dogs.
I started taking mine to obedience school as soon as I got her and have contined through all the levels. She is almost one and I am just starting her in agility training. They are soo smart and learn quick. However, they are very persistent and stubborn…they may know how to do a lot….but will still play games with you and be disobedient. You need to have a great deal of time on your hands to care for one otherwise they can display a lot of negative behaviors.
Good luck!!! Do a lot of research before you get one!!!

b/c I have one and always thought he was a purebreed but he has his ears pointed up and whenever I see one live or in a picture their ears are always pointing down!
It doesn't really matter just wondering but if you know the answer then thanks!
I myself have a JRT/mix, she is 10 mos old. Yes JRT's can be born w/what they call prick ears. unfortunately, they could never be a show dog. Also, Tails, most are docked, but in the UK, they don't believe in tail docking, what the JRT is born with stays…but just cause of the ears does not mean that it is a mix..

The Parson Russell Terrier was formally known as the Jack Russell Terrier. The name of the Jack Russell Terrier was changed to the Parson Russell Terrier effective April 1, 2003 as requested by the Jack Russell Terrier Association of America, which was changed to the Parson Russell Terrier Association of America. It was developed in 19th century England by a clergyman named Jack Russell. This feisty little terrier was used to hunt small game, particularly fox, by digging the quarry out of its den. Breeders have emphasized its working ability, so the standard is very broad, encompassing a wide range of accepted body types. On English hunts, the Parson Russell Terriers were supposed to be long-legged enough to keep up with the hounds. The energetic and playful Parson Russell makes a good family companion. Some of the Parson Russell's talents include: hunting, tracking, agility, and performing tricks. The Parson Russell Terrier is a perky, merry, devoted, and loving dog. Spirited and obedient, yet absolutely fearless. Careful and amusing, he enjoys games and playing with toys. Stable Parson's are friendly and generally kind to children. Children should be taught not to tease or strike the dog.

I work at a vet clinic, and I just went to an animal behavior seminar, and they talked about gentle leaders. I haven't tried it on my dog, but everyone that attended said they have had good experiences with them. The Doctor who held the seminar said that usually if the dog is not responding, or if it is stressful on them that it is either not fitted right, or it is not being used properly. Try to find some videos online that will show you how to adjust it properly, and how to use it correctly. It is meant for soft gentle corrections, not harsh quick corrections.
