it might not sound nice but it works for chewing. you put hot sauce on a rag. you put the rag in his mouth.now he will not like hot sauce. you put a drop of hot sauce on any thing he chews.when he smell to hot sauce on it he will not chew it.
if you use anything to keep out rabbits,like blood meal your dog will dig in your garden. fill the holes with his poop. its good for the garden and he does not want to dig in his poop.

I have a jack russel and have recently aquired a jack russel -pug cross he looks very much like a puggle but has very long legs, hes much bigger than my J.R. but equally as intelligent/stupid/playful/faithful is there such a cross and if so where can i get more info.
i didnt buy it from a breeder but someone i know did and they paid £500. they didnt want it coz it was bigger than they expected so i took it off their hands, their loss my gain he's great and my J.R. loves him, so do my cats!!!

DUDE you OWN that cross silly. There is a cross of every breed out there somewhere… they are mutts go to the shelter, or call a JRT or Pug Rescue and they can show you almost every mix of the breeds. People who only want money and the novelity of breeding dogs would purposly cross these dogs together

Cool I bet hes a super cool dog I dont disagree there but as to if people cross them I am sure they do… just that it isnt worth buying one for that amount of money.

I want a dog, but I'm worried about leaving it inside while I'm at work. My apartement is kinda small, so I want a small dog. Is this ok to do, if I let him outside when I get home? Also, what are the behavior charachteristics like J.R. Terriers?

Well first you need an apartment to live in- let's get that out of the way. Next, those dogs are great but in the "beastiality" sense, not very good. I mean come on, they can probably satisfy your needs better than barracuda's can…

I LOVE jack russell and parson russell terriers! i have 2 jacks and 3 parsons! they are the best. Anyway, i love looking at pictures of them or reading stories about them. So if anyone here who wants to share their pictures and stories, that would be great!

I have two male Jack Russells. One is a smooth coat and the other is a rough coat. They are the smartest dogs I have ever had and they really amaze me. I think they both have a perfect understanding of the English language. They have real separation anxiety though and are somewhat hyper. But, if you get them out and play they calm down. They don't tolerate kids to well though but I suppose if they were around them more often it wouldn't be much of an issue. They also shed like there is no tomorrow. The smooth coat actually sheds more than my rough coat. They are great little dogs that are absolutely fearless.

Probably bigger than a Chihuahua and smaller than a Jack Russell. At a guess about 12-15lbs. It's impossible to hazard a real guess when they are mixed breeds.

My Jack Russell Terrier is Terrified of loud construction trucks, they just started doing construction on the road next to my house, it will be going on for 100 days. He shakes constantly and runs around the house knocking things over nonstop! He is 11 years old and seems in good health, but he is driving me nuts and wearing himself out! I am afraid for his health. I dont have any where I can take him. Any good suggestions would be so appreciated. He is climbing on me now, and will be all day. I dont want to just leave him alone. I am not working right now so I dont have to leave him much, but I dont seem to be of much comfort to him. Can you help? He is like a child to me. I love him.

I agree start with a Benadryl capsule and if that doesn't mellow the poor guy out, you should ask your Vet for a mild sedative. Especially at his age and Jack Russell's are a bit hyper anyway. My dog freaks completely out at thunder and sometimes we have to sedate her. She's a little hyper too, she's a Hybrid and some noises just make her nuts! Good Luck

i have a jrt puppy named bella. she is my first jack russell and her ears look weird. will they stand up when she gets older?

i have a one year old jack i love him to death when we first got him he had both ears down but than like a month later they both shot straight up everyone said it was normal some jacks ears go up.Now that he's a year it's final he has one ear up and one down it looks really cute though i wouldnt have it any other way.so your jacks ears might go down or you might have 1 up and 1 down either way she's still a jack and you'll love her either way : )

Google has several helpful links. I got my dog from googling french bulldogs. I got exactly what I wanted: a frenchbull dog pup, with shots, and papers. You however, will probably not be able to find a puppy, you usually have to find a breeder you like and trust and then find out when the next breed will arrive!! Good luck!!
